XP SERVICE PACK 2 and Earthlink conflicts

I'm really disturbed and annoyed with both Microsoft (who has never responded to my inquiries about this problem) and Earthlink. It appears neither have done anything to inform their customers about solving a conflict between Earthlink tool/task bar and XP Service Pack Two. I can't be the only person who's experiencing the erratic behavior of the Earthlink tool bar since installing XPSP2. In fact, Earthlink acknowledged the problem and said technicians were working on it. The problem is the tool bar interrupts the cursor and also freezes up whatever one is doing. One has to close or minimize the Earthlink tool bar in order to stop it from popping up and interrupting whatever activity one is doing (typing a document or E-mail etc.). It doesn't matter if the tool bar is docked and locked or in auto hide setting, it still causes a problem. This is just another annoyance to slow one down when working at the computer. I suppose there are hidden security improvements with XPSP2 but I have not noticed anything visibly improved in the function of my computer since I installed it. I just wish Earthlink and Microsoft would get that promised fix it patch created soon for the obvious program conflicts between Earthlink and XPSP2
