A lot of Firefox stuff is add-ons also

Although some of the nicer features (like tabbed browsing) are standard, the Firefox developers still used a minimalist design philosophy - Firefox has a lot of add-ons as well, and their add-on site is much better organized.

I hate to break it to you, but open source people realized that choice is good a long time ago . . .

I also hate to break it to you, but IE is very bloated from old days of the IE/Netscape wars. About half of Windows loading time is loading IE-related stuff.

Anytime you use Windows Explorer, you're using IE - go ahead, type a webpage address in, you'll get a webpage.

Case in point - IE is always running, so you'll never really see the real time it takes to load. You just see the time it takes to create a new window.
