To little, to late...
I've already made my switch. Since I'm a Mac user, I don't need IE
for things like updating my operating system. Apple in their
wisdom was smart enough to make that feature a stand alone
separate application. Microsoft would be wise to do the same,
since that seems like a huge backdoor for viruses and Trojans.
Also, because I'm a Mac user, I've been pretty much exclusively
using Safari and now, Firefox. The only time I use IE is on those
very rare occasions when a site won't work with anything else
but IE, (a pretty rare occurrence). PC users are going through
hell and wasting a tremendous amount of time and money
dealing the the daily barrage of attacks on their systems from
malicious sources. Tell me, what's cheaper, spending a little bit
more money up front for a secure productive system like a Mac,
or buying cheap and dealing with all the baggage a Window's
system comes with? These problems are totally due to
Microsoft's goal of micromanaging and controlling every aspect
of their products user base. This is why people are switching
back to the Macintosh or to Linux. When people stop being
dupes to Microsoft, then maybe we'll see some real positive
changes coming out of Redmond.
