"Free" is first sign of defeat !!
While "Free" is a really good price and attention getter, the real message here is that Solaris is on it's death bed. Anyone, remember that wonderful and "free" BeOS?

Sun's strategy is to give away Solaris and give away Opteron servers in the hope users will convert to Java (not free). Anyone remember "FreePC" ? Basically, a sign of desperation by Sun.
