Doesn't a lot depend upon IP issues.
Not to throw stones, but I know a lot of companies are concerned over IP issues in Linux. (Warranted or not.)

It would seem to me that with Solaris those issues disappear, you get a very stable workhorse of an OS, and comparable pricing.

That's not an all bad starting point for Sun.
