The FEDs refused to do anything time and time and time and time and time again. Why? They coudl not see any breach of law. zero, zip. But at some point enough whining CEOs put enough pressure on them- read all of the antitrust case articles...they almost ALL say pressured..pressured into it - so they had to do something. There was something of a mutiny here.
so they compromised, brought it to court and settled it w/o any harm to MS, since their original position was just THAT! But what else could they do?
Say what you want, if you go through the documents and reporting surrounding the anti-trust case against MS there is only one conclusion but the radicals love to pull this out like their secret weapon to "prove" MS is evil.
Why not put some effort into something really important. Why not go after halliburton or some company that is truley abusing power....oh wait...they are governmet assisted and that's ok to the OS radicals.
