Windows wasn't an Operating System during this time: The time frame mentioned was late 80's early 90's at which time MS could not be considered a monopoly even by the narrow sighted judge who limited their market to only x86 based processors. Windows prior to 95 was not sold or marketed as an operating system, it wasas kind of like an open source community where developers were enticed to improve the GUI add-on to DOS by developing software that utilized the features made available by Windows.
