The real way to solve the problem
The real thief is the recording industry, after all the work a band puts into an album (Touring, music videos)they will see hardly anything compared to the 1-3 million they made the recording industry. The solution simple, cut out the middle man and the consumers wiil benifit allong with the artists. If artists released their songs through internet music stores instead of the recording industries that would dramaticly cut down the cost of songs (no cds to manufacture, no ceo bigs to complain) to $0.10 per song or release the entire album for $1.I have never bought music online and i have never bought a cd but I have plenty of music. If the songs were that cheap i would buy them for the reliability quality and speed of a online stores server.I think other people would to for that price. And i dont think many people would be mad enough at ten cents to go hack a drm.Another benifit is most people keap their music digatal for use on computers and portable players. Why bother to go to the store and buy a cd to ripp on your computer and never youse again. With the versatility, memory and reliability of portable devices cd players are becoming absolete along with the vhs. Yes there are complacations like how do small artists start out or record. But the complacations can be fixed by online stores having competion to find the next hit and give the artists bonuses for exclusive downloads or any other way to find new artists. As technology advances this becomes more and more feasible as the avalability for artists to produce on their own is increasing. And what about those bands that Walmart dosnt want on their shelvs,in the US Walmart is the number one cd seller. If Walmart dosnt like the lyrics they wont cary it and many record lables would make you change the song.If you have any coments questions or wish to persue this music reavalution thats bound to hapen please send me an email at jimmyhendrix@prodigy.net
