I find it legal and moral what he did

Still I think it's a waste of time that DVD Jon did but hey if that's how he wants to spend his free time then so be it. Just seems like a waste of talent to me.

Here's how I see it.

Corporate music that the RIAA claim massive losses have been felt is already free. If you consider that most if not all CD only have 1 to 3 good tracks and those tracks are played on radio 1000s of radio station and TV stations for a year or more in time and then someone downloads that song with out paying for it. What's the harm? What does the recording industry think people were doing before Napster?

That's right, they were getting it free off radio, TV, from friends, and the like. The only thing that's changed is now you can burn the songs to CD and you access to music that is not corporate owned on P2P services.

So is RIAA really upset with people for listening the music they freely released? I think not! They are upset because people are listening to JOE NOBODY MUSICIAN who may actually be the next big thing and the corps could miss the gravy train.

What happens when the next Nickle back comes along and is raised to fame without a major label? I can guarantee you that the new band won't sign a one sided crooked contract, they will demand a lot more for thier CD to brought out under Major Lable.
