John, didn't I read that you are...
"John Carroll is a software engineer now living in Geneva, Switzerland" according to http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1107_2-5108329.html

It's actually legal to live in another country. In fact, more people in the world do that than /can/ legally live in the U.S. "DVD Jon" happens to be one of them.

He also runs PCs without Microsoft Windows on 'em. We know what you think about that, too. Oh, and he's gay. Well, I have no idea whether he is or isn't gay, and that means that perhaps he is.

Afor the general issue... As music formats are cracked, one after another, I see the time coming where it simply will be illegal for an ordinary U.S. citizen to own equipment that can store and play back commercial music. ...is that so bad? Might be quieter around the place.
