Why would they own the English language just to shut us up! That's not the MS way! They would CHARGE us to use it.

Of course, since they owned it, they would be perfectly within their rights to modify anything we said using it. For instance, if you and I wanted to use the ZDNet Talkback to discuss a competitive product like THAT-CANCER-ON-BUTTOCK-OF-PROGRAMMING Linux, they could freely insert a hyphenated, all-caps, bolded adjectival string anywhere they wanted before the discussion was even posted on ZDNet's site. They could do the same thing with one of their own products, like THAT-GODDESS-OF-ALL-OSES Windows XP.
