Excel sure but can you trademark the rest...
Excel as a name is something I really haven't seen, but can you trademark "office" or "word"?
maybe, but I suspect there are companies out there that may have something to say.

I really have no idea about the Excel trademark, but I say "okay, I can see that".

But MS folded on the "windows" trademark, just like I think some companies will be up in arms if they try to trademark other common words, like "WORD". It was a cute name when they started it, but the only way they'll get it trademarked is as the full name "Microsoft Word". Otherwise, someone like "Office furniture", or "Office movers" would be have done it already.
