Search can ba LOT better...and MS can help

If you think the search you get today on yahoo or google or msn is acceptable you have very very low standards. The search on a PC or Mac is equally lame if not worse. I should be able to search my data easily in lots of ways without having to be a rocket scientist or math professor. I should be able to call up documents related to a project as a group automatically instead of having to put them in a "folder." I should be able to easily organize and group local files (docs, music, video, databases) with files elsewhere on the network or the Internet instead of having to use one search for local files and one for the Web.

I think it's pretty cool that companies like MS are investing in the pure research that can make this work better. If you're happy with today's paradigm, more power to you.
