- What have you done with the real No_Ax?

Sometimes i think you just like to see your name on this site, and then you go and do something like this. Very well thought out and something that makes ya think, "He might be on to something". These are the comments I remember listening too so long ago, well thought out and with a point, not an attempt to rile people like Jeff on. Good job, and valid points, does make me wonder if you're had you account hijacked though:)
I agree with the patents not being thrown out. I think if someone can physically show a working model and not some theory of how something is working, then yes, a patent should be applied. Give a certain amount of time like the drug companies and then it expires, and you can then get generic brands. I also must say, open source has done it's share of innovation, and MS would be smart to look at them for ideas as well. I myself, like to work with many different things, if they cause the job to get done, and if it keeps my clients happy. I don't have a particular OS/NOS etc that i depend solely on. If it works, use it, and use it to meet the needs of your employer. I know companies are out to make money, but when is enough enough? MS gouges us with their pricing, and it's not even funny. I think OSS stands for bettering the whole playing field. It helps bring the prices of proprietary software down to where normal citizens can afford it. If say, someone working at ummm a nat'l retailer, like sears, they don't make the money most of us as IT professionals do. The computer prices are coming down, but the software prices aren't. Ballmer tries to make people believe that it's the hardware keeping the prices up, and only we know he's always been full of crap, hmmm sounds like IIS, he had to have something to do with IIS.
Ok i know off on many tangents, 16 hours of work and finally getting to these boards, i'm tired and wanted to leave a comment to ya Ax, good job man. - Posted by: Monkey_MCSE Posted on: 11/09/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
