The just paid Novell $536M, Sun was about $2B, still have to see if they get the $646M back from the EU (European Comission). I think they are getting schooled! Who else have they paid in the past year or so?

They did stumble on the USDoJ Antitrust Compliance a few weeks back (http://www.winnetmag.com/windowspaulthurrott/Article/ArticleID/44209/windowspaulthurrott_44209.html Microsoft Stumbles in US Antitrust Compliance reported on October 12, 2004).

According to a report submitted this week to Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, Microsoft is behind schedule in its compliance with its US antitrust settlement. According to regulators from the US Department of Justice (DOJ), who authored the report, Microsoft has failed to meet certain requirements regarding the distribution of technical information to competitors and partners.

In '01, AT&T Sued Microsoft for a Speech Patent violation Same year they got nailed for infringing on Intertrusts DRM patents. Since 1998, Microsoft has been named a defendant in at least 35 patent-infringement cases, compared with seven suits in the prior 22 years.
