How soon you forget
But some people don't trust the law-abiding folks at Microsoft

Surely you haven't forgot about when Microsoft has been caught with other companies' binary code in their OS, and in at least one instance (Stac) was severely embarrassed in court denying it until the Stac Electronics employee testified (made the particular version of DOS emit a Stac Electronics copyright, I believe). Microsoft has set the tone about trust in this regard. With their closed source Windows code, who knows what else is in the close to 100,000,000 lines of source code that belongs to someone else, and that someone else does not even know.
