Too Funny.
Hahaha...that's really funny. Honestly though...all jokes aside...I think what the lawyers really believe is that they're going to get paid either way.

What we know is that good ole Darl (in his infinite wisdom) has tried this strategy before and failed. I guess these lawyers figured "Hell...everyone else is going to get rich off SCO...why not toss our hat in the pool?"

Now I may not be up to date with all things concerning this case, but are there any indications anywhere that suggest that SCO will prevail on any of their claims? I haven't seen any. What I have seen is a lot of FUD, suggestion and conjecture that to date hasn't produced even a suggestion of validity.

I guess time...and financing will tell.
