It only serves a specific niche.
This has been MS problem for the past few years. They are trying to take "niche" products and get everyone to buy them.

Office 2003 is great, for DBA's, report developers and other "power users". But...for typical users it is a complete waste of money.

The only advantages that the "new" flavors of Office have in the MS Access arena. Because of the use of the MSDE, Access is now a real database not some FoxPro wannabe. But...how many "typical" users really use Access? Not many.
