lost money?
---if apple looses a little on ever song then trying to
make up for it by selling more songs will not increase
profit. You have to remember, the songs cost money too,
this isn't kazaa---

Apple does not lose any money on every song sold. They
pay nothing for the songs, their only costs are in
maintenance and bandwidth. When a song sells, a
percentage of the money is kept by Apple, and the rest
goes to the credit card company and the record company.
They are not paying in advance for the use of the songs.
