No matter what Steve Jobs says, the iTunes music store will
make loads of money. They broke even on the mac version
recently, so it stands to reason that with a larger consumer
base (and conservatively predicted downloads of 100
million after the first 12 months) they will cover the costs
of launching the Windows version.

I read somewhere that after all costs are taken from the
price of a song, Apple ends up with 30 cents per track
(from which they still have to give credit card companies a
cut).

With the marketing drives with AOL and Pepsi, iTunes will
be extremely profitable - the iPod even more so.
