Time to rip and tear apart your pathetic attempt at rebuttal.
"You have have often asserted that NOBODY is using Linux. And then you assert that Linux users are somehow notorious software pirates."
Probably because its true.
"Well, I have been using desktop Linux since 1999, and I use both free (both commercial and GPL) and nonfree commercial software on my home and business systems. I have the appropriate licenses for all of my non free software."
I got you beat. I first tried linsux in 1995 when I bought a slackware 3.1 book. Nanner nanner. Good for you that you have appropriate licenses and you make me proud, however you are just one person. You are not the majority of linsux users, what few there are.
"Also since 1999, I have operated a computer service business. I have NEVER encountered a Linux user during that time who has had much interest in pirated software."
I have encountered it, and in fact I have seen it. My old boss had a burned copy of a commercial linsux disto, and no it wasn't free use on any server or free for download. I've also seen some people have ftp servers set up with linsux warez. So don't try to tell me people aren't pirating the linsux goods, I know for a fact they are.
"As DonnieBoy has noted, you are extremely ignorant ... perhaps, or perhaps you are just trolling along with malicious off topic posts in order to smear Linux and its users."
Nothing off topic here. Users WILL pirate the software if Adobe makes it. Simple as that.
"But you are not fooling anybody. I would suspect that even some of the more fair minded Microsoft advocates detest your posts."
Well good for them, but they aren't the ones I'm trying to get my point across to. Now that I think about it, I didn't mention anything about Microsoft, but in typical linsux fanboy fashion you guys just can't type a comment without mentioning them. Must be some sort of subconcious fixation.
"They are not a very good advertisement for MS or commercial software in general."
Just like with you and linsux. Well I think I've said enough and got my point across, I hope you learn from this experience instead of spouting off like every other linsux user on this board. - Posted by: Loverock Davidson Posted on: 11/04/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
