No competition

IMO, VMWare has no competition. We've been using their
products for several years and found them nearly bulletproof.

Besides allowing us to consolidate servers, we have found it
perfect for those times we are forced to run Windows.

If you need to run a Windows server, run it in VMWare on top of
Linux. When it is hacked, or infected by a virus (and you know it
will be) , just delete the folders that contain the trashed virtual
server and replace it with a backup copy. You can be back in
business in minutes.
