Possible solution to Free Software versus Patents
A possible solution is that software patents are taken out by Open Source community, and transferred to FSF or EFF (hope i've got the right abbreviation).
Thereupon, if some company attempts to batter free software projects, the FSF steps in an says "OK you're using our patents A,B,C,D,,,,,,,,. Leave this guy alone or else".


I mean if you weren't afraid, why do anything like you suggest. Buwahahahahaha
