See, pirating means taking something without paying for it...

Okay, I think you mean sharing the software with others who do not have their computers evaluated.

What Microsoft wants is to tell people who think they have a legal copy of Windows that they do not. Then, presumably, these honest people will buy what they unintentionally stole.

Even a small success will more than repay the effort. What I like about it is the inherent assumption that many if not most people are honest. May or may not be true, but I like to see that hope.
