Huh? YOU said that there was NO difference ...
... between a bar code/magnetic strip (besides the criminal brushing up against you) and I said there was a BIG difference.

As it exists today, if I want to pay for a ride on a train or buy my groceries, I can use anonymous cash or I can VOLUNTARILY use my card with the magnetic strip. If I want to use my passport, I need to VOLUNTARILY give it to the person at the counter.

In the brave new world of RFID chips, I can just be taking my grandmother to the train station and as I pass by the counter, EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT BOARDING THE TRAIN, they can scan me and I will INVOLUNTARILY give them my information. I accompany Grandma to the grocery store and they scan me and I INVOLUNTARILY give them my information.

Big difference and not a stupid argument.
