- You Need Lawyers on Routine Support Calls
-
To begin with, you have to have really good requirements of what you need built, managed, maintained, etc.
In the case of service, then you need to very well define the service level agreements.
Then, at that point, it's contract negotiations.
Now, in our negotiations with vendors, it's like we need lawyers on routine support calls. "Is this in our contract, is this not in our contract."
It's pathetic.
You might think you're saving money, but in most cases, if you can build it in house, do it, it will save you 10x the grief and hassle.
If you can't, make sure you get a very good vendor, and who would this be nowadays? I don't know.
So be sure you have very good lawyers. - Posted by: andyhayes1 Posted on: 11/23/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
