There has been better and there are still
I downloaded and used Google tool and I did not liked it. Here is what I don?t like

It lacks advance search features like the use of Boolean. So if you have <> if you cant refine properly yur search is not of much help. That is why I use google for certain searches and AlltheWeb or Altavista for more refine searches.

The file search types are the most commons but you cannot include more than what they define.

If the document is relatively long is nice to have (as some desktop search engines have) the keyword highlighted (EnFinsh and Altavista Discover).

To me the best free one has been AltaVista Discovery. I have no idea why they discontinue it or if they are going to revive it. Copernic Desktop is free and very good and is available to download. Enfish is good but you have to pay,and probably is too much money for me.

What I hate is that most recent articles from columnist, hat should know better, does not mention the other alternatives. It has to do with the Google post IPO bubble fad that will last for long and like in Soap Opera and Reality Show they rather talk about Microsoft Yahoo and Google battle of the mightiest. Probably the best article on this subject appeared on NYT recently.

Buy hey there are flavours for everybody. Just what I think
