But have you tried Desktop Google?

I've been using Google's desktop search software for a couple days and I have to disagree with you--desktop search is gonna be awesome. I have tens of megabytes of email, and hundreds of megabytes of Word and text documents. And I have the source tree for CNET code checked out of CVS.

Now thanks to Google Desktop I can search all of that in an instant. Along with searching my browser history. It's amazing to be able to retrieve anything I want out of that morass of data with a single quick query.
