It's a form of extorsion!
License models based solely on # of users are extortion, plain and simple. Examine licensing for a mail server. Prices are typically based on number of users. More users, more money. However, the additional cost provides no additional services or products. Hardware, bandwidth, IT resources and wages for the added ?users? are all the customers? responsibility. They are charging you more money because they assume you are making more money.

Imagine and office supply store charging a different price for paper based on potential use. Kids coloring on the paper, $5 bucks. Plan to write a best seller with it, ten grand. Or the prices of a pickup truck doubling because you plan to use it for a lawn care company.

It greed and nothing more and it?s illegal. Someone just needs to figure out how to prosecute it.
