You have a good point but I think you are over reacting
Dear Harry Omary

I do agree that ZDNET is not the appropriate forum for
religious discussion BUT as you can see noone at ZDNET
(or other ZDNET forum readers) has been so offended by
my and Kings Servants' harmless exchange that our
messages were removed from their forum
( as is ZDNETs right if they think it appropriate
but this hasn't happened).

What interests me is why some people are so sensitive
about religious views. In this day and age when people
talk about anything and everything, religion is still
the unspeakable taboo. It's like we were talking about death
or something (another modern taboo).

Our messages were just a simple and harmless conversation
which you didn't have to read anyway. Like TV or anything else
you are free to switch it on or off or change channels.

There are truckloads of info recorded on this one thread alone
regarding multicore licenseing which you can read BUT
you had to focus on one little exchange that offended your
particular sensibilities.

Why are people so offended when someone says something about
religion ? I have things I don't like stuck in my face everyday
and I don't find the need to lash out at people because of it.
I just change my focus to something which I am interested in.

People of course have a right to like/dislike or whatever
religion or anything else AND I agree with your right to have
said what you did. I just think you are over reacting to a harmless exchange between well meaning ZDNET users
(much worse things are posted on the Internet all the time).

I sometimes wonder though whether people just don't like religion or are offended by it (fair enough but I also don't like having many things imposed on me by others which I don't
agree with and I just have to put up and shut up) or maybe
the concept of a creator (who we are accountable to)
and an after life just maybe scares them a little
when there is no reason
(sad when life, the world and the universe etc are much more
than human kind can or will ever know).

People may disagree over ideas but they are ideas after all
(the proof of the pudding is in the eating and the future alone can answer most of our questions).

I do take your point though and will not labour anyone on ZDNET
with my religious views again.

I hope things are going well for you and wish you well.
