SOA just means getting software as a service. Whether you load it yourself on a computer, or use your web browser to access it on a server, you get the "service". WOuldn't it be nice to get your software via a web server? You could be using Web-Server Word (TM) to write this note - and use the spelchecker!, all without leaving your browser. If someone could provide the software service for cheaper, you could just "pack up" and leave your current provider and start using someone else's software service. True competititon! All you need is a browser, and you can get ALL your work done! Oh wait, M$ is dropping the browser . . .
