Freedom is priceless.
You're right, Linux isn't free. Nothing is free.
Everything has some cost, somewhere, and in some
way. Be that as it may, the software budget for
a company using nothing but open source will look
a lot different than one that uses proproetary
software.

No, open source isn't a one size fits all
approach. But training costs were there with MS
to begin with, as well. So unless you have a
situation in which the functionality is not
equivalent, the question is this:

Do you want to savea little money in the short
term, or spend a lot less in the long term? I
can tell you which one I chose, and my savings
have been immense.

Hint: My software budget has been $0.00 for about
5 years now.

Why can't anyone see beyond next week in the
business world anymore?
