Why this is a good thing.
Yes I know its a royal pain in the rear, but if enough of these stupid suits are filed, the courts get backed up, and users start screaming loud enough, even Congress will be forced to wake up and over haul the patent office.

Don't get me wrong, a great idea indeed does deserve a patent and the inventor paid his due, but anyone with even a passing knowledge of the software world understands things are out of hand.
