The same could be said about nuclear war, if you're in the nuclear arms trade.

Don't knock it until you've made a massive cash spend, signed away your rights to any sort of quality by agreeing (mandatorily) to the EULA which absolves MS of any and all responsibility for the consequences, THEN, when you are laid out by the latest virus, or last weeks automatically downloaded update turns out to contain (one or more of) this weeks security exploit, THEN you can complain, because by that timer Microsoft will already have had your money and you're left with a pile of worm stuffed, second hardware that you can't legally pass on to someone else.

Terrific.
