- I visit this site less and less because it offers no value and little insite. It definately seems that ZDNet considers themselves a MS watchdog group more than a news source. Most of the posts will follow in the same manner. You read about Billy needing to get his OS "right" when every OS on the market(Linux based too) has many buffer overflow vulnerabilities. I posted before about Redhat and Debian having a load of patches out there now too but, of course, to the mindless anti-MSers there is a reason why those holes and patches aren't as meaningful as Billy's. Almost every OS is a work in progress(and always has been) and most, in here, know that. Just becuase MS isn't opensource and doesn't have an active community of unpaid idiots to help develop and debug their crap ticks a lot of people off. Plain and simple, if you got a problem with it use something else. If your too stupid to use another OS you're probably too stupid to use a computer in the first place. Unbelievable that people whine so much about an OS that has become, by leaps bounds, a more stable and robust environment. Just don't say the OS was built wrong and it's core is crap, explain why the kernel is crap. Don't just say because of their track record MS suqs, because it does keep getting better, not worse. There is absolutely no constructive critism in here at all just the repetative and mindless "don't use ms use product x...product x is perfect and has no issues" and of course that is complete BS. You find me a x86 OS(current ones) and I'll find you security issues for that OS...and very recent ones too. At least with MS, if you have even one cell left, you can set it up correctly and let it rip. Except for the GDI issue, I don't need to go out and patch 150 things to resolve one issue. So let it rip you Billy haters. Spread your FUD because I'm outta here and soon you'll only be spreading it to each other. I'll send you all some knitting needles and rocking chairs soon.
