With Media Center Extenders...
The idea is that you DON'T have to have the computer in your living room. Think of it like the server in a closet. Wouldn't it be nice to just run your antenna to the PC in your home office and any TV in the house just needs an AC outlet to have access to all programming, music, etc? I don't have cable in the kitchen. MS is at least offering me an alternative here. I'm not sure how good the implementation is, but don't beat them up until there is some real-world experience.
