Good God! What a bunch of babble.
How can you honestly think that an OS could have ANYTHING to do with government, politics or international issues.

It's about some of the people around the world wanting to choose how they use their computers and they are fed up with Gates and his junior wannabe dictators and their uncontrollable need to rule the world's PC's and gouge people for all they money they can get.

They are fed up with the feeling that Gates and his Republican Guard could decide to not give out activation codes, effectively shutting down people's systems.

They are tired of dealing with a company that has been PROVEN guilty of illegal, unethical and improper conduct. A company that even so, doesn't want to change it ways.

You are trying to imply that anyone who uses Linux is some sort of sinister enemy of the US. That, my friend, is a load of dung. I can't wait to change completely to Linux and when a few more applications become available, I'll be doing exactly that.

No, it's not about beating Microsoft. They have pushed many people way too far and IMO they have begun to beat themselves. It's simply about being able to tell Microsoft to get out of my life while still being able to run my computers.

My guess is that China and France want the same thing but can't find enough people in the US with enough guts to tell Microsoft where to get off. So, they deal with each other and accomplish their goals.
