Never doubted that there weren't any economic reasons for Russia, Germany and France not to join the party. France has had it's moments vetoed by US, etc. Germany is still reiling from WW2 with no significant military input. Russia is plain bankrupt.
I have said/believed from day one that when Powell went to talk to these guys about coalition he had one message: all current contracts (supposed oil for food) are void and Haliburton will handle the oil distribution. Under the assumption that Iraqis will kiss the feet of the liberators this was to be a gimme. Now that things aren't as rosy I think Haliburton is operating on borrowed time and will have to leave as soon as US military support is gone.
