Correction: Latest hardware does not support Linux!!
You've got it all backwards. It's not up to the Operating System to be ready for the latest hardware, how can they be? The hardware vendors need to be quicker in either supplying drivers for Linux, or aid the open source developers to make drivers more quickly.

Don't blame Linux for the narrow focus of the Vendors.
