what is the problem handling realtime anyway that's what interrupts are for
I don't really understand what the problem is with realtime with any kernel. If the hardware generates an interrupt, the CPU will run code.
If the code is in real physical memory as a loaded device driver (can be via a small superuser to user shim if necessary), then what is the problem?
