I have been thinking. We need to do thE same thing for patents that we did for copyright. We need a General Public Patent Licence. You can use it and build on it to create new patents, but they must be licenced in the same way. Also, if you use the General Public Patents, you can not use them in combination with any other proprietary patents.
We could have a patent fund to help people apply for patents and pay all the fees as long as they would use the General Public Patent Licence.
WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT PATENTS KILLING OFF INOVATION HERE IN THE US. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE.
