Actually...
...when I had a Commodore Amiga in the early 80's I've developed programs which called other programs to do certain functions, etc.

For example. There was a Bulletin Board System (BBS) called AmiExpress. Developers would write programs called "Doors" to extend the functionality of the system.
The BBS would send data to the door program which send info back to the BBS to send to the user.

Therefore, those patents should be void.
