Except for one thing. The patents, 5,206,951, 5,421,012 and 5,226,161 were filed in 1991, 1995, and 1993 respectively. That means I violated the patents 5 yrs before the first one was filed. No_Ax, you have called yourself a developer and have made references to "30 years ago". If you are any kind of developer, which I doubt, then you have to have violated these patents before they were filed if you have done anything at all substantial before 1991.

Just as Kodak bided its time before filing its suit, others are now biding their time. This suit was settled just a little too fast for something that is at least the same magnitude as plugins (Eolas) and hyperlinks (BT). C++, CORBA, and DCE all predate the earliest of these patents. If you take a little time to actually read these patents, you will see that the worst thing Kodak could have done was to draw attention to them. Do your own research and soon you too might be a believer.
