I'm sure David's tickled pink with your praise
But please don't goad OS developers into stealing Apple's OS X GUI.

OS developers respect other's rights. There are a couple of GUI's very similar to OS X, but to copy it too closely is only asking for trouble from Apple.

Linux developers try to copy the Windows GUI as closely as they can (noting that MS will likely sue their pants off if they get too close) because that's what 90% of users are familiar with. After all, MS stole Apple's Mac OS GUI and continues to cherry-pick some of the good aspects of OS X, so copying Windows will embded a lot of Apple's ideas into Linux anyway.
