P.T. Barnum works for IDC???
It's the only possible answer because these folks are looking for suckers to buy this horse hockey.

How many industries have we simply sat by and watched disappear from our shores? How much longer are the suckers going to keep believing this is a good thing for America?

As much as I hate to say it, the tech industry is nothing more than the latest victim in a very long list of industries that have "outsourced" American jobs. Given that none of these jobs has ever returned, nor has it created new jobs as the man behind the curtain suggests, I see nothing to indicate thech outsourcing will be any different.

While many would favor some sort of legislation to restrict this practice I would like to see another option tried first. Simply require in READABLE lettering on the label where the product was made and let the consumer make a knowldegable decision on the products they buy.

While it might be difficult to do because components come from all over the world, a simple statement on the lable stating how much of a percentage of the product is made by American workers would be fantastic.

Say a company has 10,000 employees and 1,000 of them are off shore hires. The lable should read, 10% non-US workers.

Naw, it would never work. The companies would hate it, people would be informed, and it may even force companies to reconsider their actions. We can't have that now can we???
