SuSE - "standard" install SUCKS
I was unable to install the last version of SuSE for my Athlon 64 system. SuSE does NOT have OS CD's for download - you download a "boot" CD and have to install over the internet. Needless to say, it took forever (even on boradband) and hung and hung and hung. Man I thought I was on Windoze for the amount of times I had to reboot and start over. I gave up and went with Mandrake. I guess SuSE has answered the question - how can you charge money for software that can be had for free over the internet?
