Here is the problem with CAD though.
It all works great on the machine but not so great int he real world. As an example look at the super Mustang Ford recently built. They made a very big deal about how it had been all created in virtual space and then built. They then ran their "test machine) throguh a battery of suspension tests and adjustmenats "according to the computer".

But in the end, it failed and failed badly. THe car was completely out of balance when the driver applied the brakes. (The suspension system didn't have enough adjustment to accomodate the real world.)

As I said, yes CAD has a place and we use it daily, but there is no way we can simply stop using paper prints. I don't see that happening for a very long time if ever. Sort of like the paperless office everyone has talked about for 30 years...
