I don't know if peoplesoft would be worth it anymore...
Oracle may or may not be able to buyout peoplesoft, but I don't know if it's worth it anymore.
Oracle would first have to get past the EU decision.
The big hurdle is the price of peoplesoft stock goes up by large steps everytime a hint of buyout pops up. By the time Oracle wants to try to buy it out, the stock will be twice the price of the initial offer, and that would be no deal.
If they went through with it, it would be to get rid of competition and not for as profitable incoem source, and that would open up a host of lawsuits in itself. Or so I think.
