Standarization is the Issue
If we have a set industry standard, all products have something to conform to and build on. No more of these vain attempts to try and filter information into a proprietary format.

Even with Microsoft's XML, the Schemas are still copyright protected, and any industry analyst will tell you that using copyright protected formats as a industry standard just leads to another IP war.

With OpenOffice.org's XML format, the three files are parted as they should be in an XML format. This single file schema crap just leads to confusion.

Way to go Sun. You may ride on the fence way too much, but you still show that you have some good in you.
