As long as it's on the box
I don't care a whole lot about RFIDs. Just don't put it on something directly. The people whining that they can be tracked is BS; just remove the tag. Of course, if they put the tag under/with something that prevents you from noticing it, then you can *****.

I don't agree w/ having RFID detectors in your home. The concept of having a washer that sets the cycle based on what your washing is stupid. Most people wash a mash of clothes, maybe seperated by whites and darks. If each item has different requirements, how is the washing machine going to know what to do? It's the same failing concept as 'net-enabled refrigerators.

The question also becomes, how far away from the scanner can the tag be and still be read? If it's just a few inches, then big whoop. But if you can, for example, drive by in a cop car and see what I have in my house, then I have issues.
